This game has been a great addition to my elementary Special Education Resource Room! I teach at a Title 1 school, and we love the thought-provoking questions that get them talking and learning about different perspectives and experiences. I have several students on the Autism spectrum, and they love the “team” game mode where it doesn’t feel as pressuring 😊
The superlative suggestions are also great and my students have had so much fun recognizing each other for their conversation skills. All of my students love this game and have been asking to play again and again! It is packaged well (nice and compact), easy to understand, and requires very little set up which makes for a great early finish activity. 😊
My 9 year old has asked to play this game every day since I introduced her to it. I think she especially likes the 1:1 attention from me and the platform to talk about whatever she is thinking. I like that she’s starting to recognize when she rambles on. She’s starting to take pauses and wait for a response or question.
I'm a LMHC and work with IDD adults. I just use the Topic cards for my group therapy. Near the end of group we play a game of letting the clients choose a 1 point question (e.g. What is your favorite smell?), 5 point question (e.g. What is something you are looking forward to?), or 10 point question (e.g. What is the meanest thing someone has done to you?). As you can see, the higher point questions are more difficult and revealing. I let the other group members decide if their answer was worth the points by show of thumbs up or thumbs down. Whoever ends with the most points wins a prize!
Very good for learning and teaching how to speak
